SHERLOCK HOLMES - Consulting Detective

A NEW SHERLOCK HOLMES COLLECTION!

Airship 27 Prod., and Cornerstone Book Publishers are very excited to announce the release of their newest title, SHERLOCK HOLMES, CONSULTING DETECTIVE Vol. One.

Victorian England, a time of historical significance as the world was poised expectantly for the coming wonders and terrors of the new century. Amidst this atmosphere of anticipation and intrigue, one man emerged as a beacon of logic and cold, calculating reason in an unsettling time: Mr. Sherlock Holmes, Consulting Detective. Now he returns in five brand new mysteries by four of today’s finest writers.

A famous soccer player is found dead in the club house. An unidentified stowaway is murdered aboard a U.S. Navy warship, while another man is found asphyxiated in an empty, locked room. These are several of the twisted puzzles challenging the Baker Street sleuth as he once again takes up the hunt on the fog ridden streets of London accompanied, as always, by his faithful ally, Dr.Watson.

Writers Aaron Smith, Andrew Salmon, Van Allen Plexico and I.A. Watson have set forth exciting new mysteries done in the traditional style of the original Holmes stories by his creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. There are no space aliens here nor howling werewolves, simply good old fashion whodunits. So arm yourself for danger and all manner of villainy as once again, the game is afoot!

This premier volume features a dramatic cover by artist Mark Maddox, with interior illustrations and design by Rob Davis. Edited by Airship 27 Prod. founder, Ron Fortier.
“Sherlock Holmes is clearly the most beloved fictional character ever created,” Fortier offered in discussing the new book. “We’ve assembled a collection of five terrific stories we are sure will entertain Holmes fans around the world.”

Well, hopefully this series is going to be around for a while, Kevin and you'll get your chance. Thanks for stopping by Anthony. Rob, me and Michael Poll are truly proud of this book. And our writers really set the bar high with top-notch quality stories. These are classic Holmes mysteries.

...And why is an Asian man speaking no known language running naked through the streets of London???

Van-
HA! Why indeed?

I am SO glad this one is finished and out there. This probably being our highest profile book so far put the pressure on to make sure this was as good as we could make it. So you can imagine my relief that it's finally off my desktop and in the world, with hopefully few noticeable flaws.

First time reading an Airship 27 book – won’t be the last.

Bought Holmes because 1) he’s a favourite character of mine so good proper new stories should be encouraged and 2) it’s got stuff by Ian Watson in it and I’ve read lots of his writing before and enjoyed it v. much.

ALL the stories were great tho! And quite different, which I liked. It felt like a real anthology –and yet Holmes & Watson were in character and felt like “the real thing”. It was old and new at the same time and I loved it!

I hope this thing sells well, because you HAVE to do a vol 2. Heck, If they’re this good I’ll be there for vol 20!

Writer guys: Aaron, you have a lovely twisty mind!
Andrew, I could tell you loved doing this – it made the pages shine!
Van, you baffled me (in a good way) and made me happy about it!
Ian, you just hammered the anthology home to a grand conclusion there at the end.

Do more. Do it now. Now I say!! :-)

Quick summary: I liked it. People should read this. More required.

Thanx

Sarah :-)

Why, Sarah, that was awesome. Please, if you get a chance, would you post those comments to our Amazon listing. As the editor of this book, I am so happy you enjoyed it as much as you did. After all, devoted Holmes & Watson fans like yourself were our audience. The book, I am also happy to report, is selling through the roof thanks to gracious people like you telling their friends about it. And rest assured, a Volume Two is already in the works and Volume Three is being laid out.
Thanks again, so very, very much.
